Democrats Call Out Ilhan Omar Over Resurfaced Video Disparaging White Men

A veteran Democratic strategist and a sitting Democratic Congress member have both criticized left-wing ‘Squad’ member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) after a 2018 video emerged in which she made derogatory remarks about white men.

Furthermore, James Carville, a former strategist for Bill Clinton, along with Representative Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), contend that Omar and her fellow Democrats should begin to express admiration for the nation, similar to President Donald Trump’s ‘America First’ approach to politics.

Khanna stated on Thursday’s Politics War Room podcast that Democrats should commence each speech with the assertion, ‘America is the greatest country in the world,’ reflecting his strong criticism of Trump and the MAGA movement.

Carville criticized Omar and the far-left faction of the party for causing more damage to the Democratic Party than benefit.

Carville identified himself as a liberal Democrat but expressed his discontent with the progressive faction of the Democratic Party, suggesting that they may not be worth the effort and should consider pursuing their own path.

He then shifted his attention to Omar, citing a previously aired interview from 2018 in which she stated that the nation should be more apprehensive of white men, as they are responsible for a significant number of fatalities in the country.

She further argued that if fear were to guide policies aimed at ensuring the safety of Americans, there should be measures in place to profile, monitor, and address the radicalization of white men.

This prompted Carville to remark, ‘Ilhan Omar claims that white males are responsible for more deaths than anyone else in the nation. I cannot ascertain the truth of that statement.

What is the purpose of making such a claim? Why provoke one-third of the voting population?’ Carville further discussed the issue of voter alienation by examining the electorate’s demographics, questioning the rationale behind progressives’ attempts to antagonize approximately one-third of the electorate. ‘When will someone say:

The California Democrat stated, “My disagreement is not merely political; it is fundamentally substantive. This nation is remarkable, compassionate, and honorable.”

The Indian-American legislator contemplated his family’s migration to the United States, commending the opportunities they encountered and the accomplishments they attained—an achievement he asserted “would not be feasible in any other country.”

Khanna emphasized that Democrats should begin each speech with the statement: ‘America is the greatest nation globally. It is the most inclusive country in the world. It is the least prejudiced nation, and our goal is to improve it further.’

Inform the caucus that competing against white men does not hold promise for our future, Carville responded.

In earlier statements made to Fox News Digital regarding the 2018 video, Omar reaffirmed her remarks perceived as anti-white by referencing a report from a progressive organization: ‘In this nearly eight-year-old clip, I am discussing the increase of white nationalism as highlighted in an annual report by the Anti-Defamation League, which indicated that white supremacists accounted for 78 percent of extremist-related homicides,’ Omar stated.

She subsequently resorted to her infamous anti-Semitic views by making a misleading assertion: ‘By the way, you ought to research the true definition of ‘genocidal’ while you are actively endorsing a genocide occurring in Gaza.’
