During a speech at the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA) in Johannesburg, Rasool aimed to elucidate Donald Trump’s recent foreign policy stances, particularly his criticism of South Africa’s property expropriation laws and its relationships with Iran, Hamas, and other countries.
“Donald Trump is initiating an attack on those currently in power by rallying a supremacist movement against incumbency, both domestically and, as I believe I have demonstrated, internationally,” Rasool stated, according to Breitbart.
He further explained, “This supremacist challenge to incumbency is evident in the domestic political landscape of the United States, particularly within the MAGA movement, which is not merely a reaction to a supremacist impulse but is also informed by clear data indicating significant demographic changes in the U.S., where the voting population is expected to be 48% white.”
Rasool noted, “The prospect of a majority of minorities is approaching, and this must be taken into account. It helps us comprehend certain behaviors that may appear instinctively nativist or racist. For instance, data could support the rationale behind the construction of the wall and the deportation movement, among other issues. I believe this is worth mentioning.”
In a related development, Secretary of State Marco Rubio made it clear last week that the South African ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome.
On Friday, Rubio took to social media platform X to label Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool as “a race-baiting politician who hates America and hates @POTUS.”
Rubio added, “We have nothing to discuss with him, and he is therefore considered PERSONA NON GRATA,” while referencing a Breitbart News article that highlighted derogatory remarks made by the South African diplomat about President Donald Trump.
The ambassador faced expulsion after he remarked at a recent event that Trump was spearheading a global white supremacist movement.Elon Musk’s engagement in UK politics, particularly his support for Nigel Farage and the Reform movement, is not coincidental. This involvement mirrors the guidance he received regarding Vice President Vance’s address to the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) during his journey to the Munich security summit, aimed at bolstering their election efforts, as articulated by the banned South African diplomat.
This raises questions about the role of Afrikaners in this context, suggesting that their purpose is to promote a narrative of white victimhood, serving as a signal for a global movement that seeks to protect beleaguered white communities, or those perceived as such.
While this narrative may lack truth or coherence, it resonates within a global white audience. It is essential to comprehend these dynamics. Furthermore, there appears to be a conflict where a supremacist insurgency is being positioned against the established order, Rasool remarked.
He asserted that his nation could spearhead the resistance against what he describes as Trump’s white supremacism, claiming it serves as “the historical antidote to supremacism.” Additionally, Rasool has a documented history of supporting Hamas and has reportedly struggled to gain influence in Washington, DC, as noted by Semafor, which indicated that he is being marginalized by influential figures.
