Supporters of President Trump are raising concerns following the emergence of a troubling video featuring Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) misusing her platform to encourage Democrats to hinder ICE’s essential task of securing our borders by detaining undocumented immigrants. AOC unapologetically defended rogue members of Congress who openly violated the law by unlawfully entering an ICE detention center.
In the viral footage released on May 11, 2025, AOC advocated for her lawbreaking colleagues who, along with a New Jersey mayor, invaded an ICE facility in New Jersey on May 9, 2025, demonstrating a blatant disregard for law and order. To exacerbate the situation, AOC audaciously asserted that the Department of Homeland Security was overreacting to the unlawful act and even issued direct threats towards border czar Tom Homan and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
Commencing her outrageous tirade, AOC contended that the Department of Homeland Security was employing “public intimidation,” asserting her belief that DHS had resorted to this strategy “because they know that they cannot come for us all.”
As she continued her unfounded assertions, the New York Democrat lamented, “They know that they are not, that they cannot come for us all. And recently, what they said is that DHS is allegedly looking into arresting members of Congress who were fulfilling their legal and constitutional duty to conduct oversight. If anyone’s breaking the law in this situation, it’s not members of Congress, it’s the Department of Homeland Security.”
Not finished yet, she launched into further attacks on Trump’s border czar and his DHS head, stating, “It’s people like Tom Homan and Secretary Kristi Noem, if you lay a finger on someone, on Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman or any of the representatives that were present, if you lay a finger on them, we’re going to have a problem.”]} }}
Continuing her tirade, AOC contended that the Department of Homeland Security could not detain members of Congress, stating, “because the individuals violating the law are those who do not adhere to it, and it is established in the law that members of Congress who visit ICE and CBP facilities must be granted access, as it is a legal requirement, and they cannot be obstructed from entering these facilities to fulfill their constitutional duty to investigate and oversee.”
In conclusion to her diatribe, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez once again threatened Secretary Noem, lamenting, “If Christy Noem chooses to violate the law, that is her responsibility.” She further remarked, “However, it is certainly not someone like Representative Robert Menendez who should face arrest. Is that clear?”
In response to AOC’s outrageous claims, conservative writer John Strand retorted on X, stating, “WOW: AOC is encouraging Democrats to infiltrate ICE detention centers, asserting it is their ‘legal & constitutional right’ and that DHS cannot ‘come for us all.’”
Strand criticized AOC for “inciting criminal behavior” and urged his followers to advocate for her arrest, declaring, “If you are completely exasperated with this lawlessness, ReTweet this: ARREST AOC!” In reaction, commenters voiced their discontent with the progressive representative, with user Jeffrey Tipton commenting, “Arrest AOC immediately for promoting lawbreaking and violence.” Another user added, “She is a coward, spouts a lot of nonsense, but will not take actions that could jeopardize her political standing.
